Experience the fresh new look of New Wave Club’s facilities at Port of Poole Marina after a fantastic transformation during the quieter winter period of January 2025. The club has transformed its space with a carefully planned upgrade that brings members closer to the water and offers breathtaking views of Poole Harbour and the Purbecks. The terrace also gives members a fantastic aerial vantage point to check local boating hotspots around the harbour including the short hop over to Pottery Pier at the end of Brownsea Island. New Wave Club Terrace and Decked Members Area in Port of Poole Marina in the heart of Poole Harbour

After spending 14 years in Salterns Marina, New Wave Club moved across to Port of Poole Marina in 2022 in search for more boat and jetski berths to help it expansion. Whilst we couldn't fault the on water boat berths and jetski docks and very helpful PHC marina staff we couldn't help but feel that the members club room onshore felt a bit 'in the middle of the car park.' So New Wave Club owner Ross Ceaton and his team put a proposal into PHC to reuse a bit of dead space in the marina and create a unique waterside facility.

Moving the Cabin Waterside with Expert Help

The upgrade began with a major logistical step: relocating the club’s cabin to a prime waterside spot. This move required a crane to safely lift and position the cabin, ensuring it would become the perfect base for members to gather before and after their time on the water.

Once the cabin was moved and secure in its new position, our custom fabricated roof terrace was installed. Then thanks to the skilled efforts of a couple of Jetski club members, it was time to install the decking. Their hands-on involvement not only saved time but also strengthened the community spirit within the club.

between the club’s facilities and the marina’s vibrant aquatic environment.

Building the Decked Area for Social and Relaxation Space

Once the cabin was in place, the next phase focused on creating a decked area around it. This space was designed to serve multiple purposes: a spot for social events like barbecues, a place to relax and catch up with fellow members, and a vantage point to enjoy the natural beauty of Poole Harbour.

The deck was built with durable materials suited to the marine environment, ensuring it withstands the elements while providing comfort and style. The layout encourages easy movement and offers plenty of seating options, making it ideal for both small gatherings and larger club events.

The involvement of club members in the construction added a personal touch to the project. Their expertise and enthusiasm helped shape a space that truly reflects the club’s community values.

Adding a Bespoke Rooftop Terrace with Panoramic Views

The final highlight of the upgrade is the bespoke rooftop terrace. Fabricated off-site and carefully installed on top of the cabin, the terrace offers panoramic views that are hard to beat.

From this elevated spot, members can take in sweeping vistas of Poole Harbour’s sparkling waters and the rolling hills of the Purbeck countryside beyond. It’s a perfect place to unwind, enjoy a drink, or simply watch the boats glide by.

The terrace also enhances the club’s social atmosphere. It provides a unique setting for events and casual meetups, making every visit to New Wave Club memorable.
